— Booney releases his new single, “Jenga Nights” with a music video to match ahead of his upcoming Still Dreaming EP.
Following the release of his early 2021 single, “1 Hr From Austin”, Booney has been back in the lab working on his upcoming project. With introspection and purpose being so prevalent in his work, the Southside Atlanta native is sure to carefully craft his masterpieces. Nonetheless, when Booney drops he doesn’t disappoint and the same is true of his most recent release, “Jenga Nights”.
“Jenga Nights”, produced by Dashcapism, is a concise minute-and-a-half moodsetter that centers around a vibe that so many of us can relate to — a casual game night or kickback with some good friends. Seemingly a simple topic, Booney describes the night in such vivid detail that you feel like you’re in the room and eventually begin reminiscing on some ‘Jenga nights’ of your own. Getting faded on your substance of choice, plotting on a come up with the homies, grabbing a grits bowl from the Waffle House — you name it, Booney knows how these nights go.
The music video, filmed by Mvrtivns, captured everything Booney described and did so in a very engaging way. The handheld one-take film was shot in a living room filled with apparent friends and associates as they interact with one another in various ways.
