— Atlanta rapper J. Harvard recruits BigBoi-T and pays homage to classic twerk anthems in her latest single “Boujee”.

Following a short hiatus from official releases in 2020, J. Harvard has been on the move having already released two singles, “Connected” and “Smoke”,  in 2021. Now, the Atlanta-based artist doubles back and delivers another hit — this time featuring rapper, BigBoi-T.

“Boujee” opens up with an enchantingly soulful piano sample backed by a funky bassline setting the tone for the infectious track. J. Harvard follows suit, also setting a tone, as she references the song’s title rapping,

“Real boujee bitch, what you want me to do?

I’m a boujee bitch and so is the crew.

Talk to me nice, talk to me nice

Talk wit’ ya ice, talk wit’ ya ice”

J. Harvard then begins to pay homage to Hip-Hop legends Juicy J and Project Pat as she rhythmically repeats the word “twerk” just as they did on their 2009 hit single, “Twerk”. Following J. Harvard’s high-octane opening chorus, BigBoi-T comes through with a tribute of his own as he interpolates lyrics from Juvenile’s “Back That Azz Up”.

As the song continues, the duo go back and forth delivering hard-hitting verses consisting of dynamic flows, exciting wordplay, authentic lyricism, and some hidden gems.
