— Rapper and producer Jam returns from his long hiatus with a new hit, “Nightshift”, and a captivating new visual to match.

Following the release of his 2018 singles, “Legit” and “Yeah”, Atlanta-based artist Jam (also known as freshjam!) went away for quite a bit. Aside from a 2020 appearance on Nativ3 Sounds’ “Fireworks”, we presume the rising star has been plotting his next move. Now, Jam has finally returned with his new single, “Nightshift”, along with a new music video and he doesn’t disappoint.

“Nightshift”, produced by Jakob Rodhouse, features an undeniably bouncy and vibrant beat that strongly encourages its listeners to hit a 2-step and then some. An infectious guitar riff coupled with a catchy drum pattern — not to mention perfectly placed pauses in the beat — make “Nightshift” a dynamic listen even before Jam enters the picture.

With that being said, Jam came through and made “Nightshift” the irrefutable banger that it is. Unleashing a half-sung rap flow previously unheard in his music, Jam delivers the perfect song for a night on the town as he describes the highlights of such a night in sophisticated fashion.

The music video, shot by Plat Gamma and directed by Jam himself, brilliantly brought the music to life. Although the visual is fairly simple, every shot consists of something eye-catching whether it be Jam and his friends riding around in a neon-lit lifted Jeep or beautiful drone shots of Atlanta’s skyline.

With a new single and visuals from Jam, we can only hope he has more coming soon. Until then, be sure to check out the full “Nightshift” song and visual right here. Also be sure to follow Jam on his official Instagram and Twitter account for more on his latest moves.
