— Atlanta rapper SoTa releases his first official music video from his latest album, The SoTa Experience, for his second track titled, “Sanchez”.

When it comes to performance and delivery, few do it better than Atlanta’s own, underground Hip-Hop artist, SoTa. The eclectic young artist, known for his incredible talent, creativity, and unmatched energy has been turning heads left and right and is certainly one to watch for. Now, since delivering his most recent album, The SoTa Experience, this past November, SoTA has now released its first official music video for the song, “Sanchez”.

“Sanchez” is an incredibly heavy-hearted song to say the least. Opening with a simple, yet mesmerizing, guitar riff that sets a mysterious and thoughtful tone, SoTa gets right to business with his opening lines,

“Growing up, I had to share an air mattress bed nigga.

Syrup was the only thing I had up on that bread, nigga.

You got a call saying that your brother might be dead, nigga.

My granny called me, said she found my older brother dead, nigga.”

He proceeds to get real about the many trials and tribulations he’s been through — everything from poverty to near death experiences. Still, he somehow manages to channel feelings of strength, perseverance, and hopefulness at the same time.

The “Sanchez” music video did a great job of further evoking the emotions that SoTa so effectively conveyed lyrically. Shot in one location in black and white, the visual primarily focuses on SoTa’s lyrics and performance while also including a real-life clip of SoTa and his friend nearly dying at the hands of police.
