— Multi-faceted creator, Open Mike Eagle, announces the third season of his What Had Happened Was podcast with a trailer starring legendary music industry executive, Dante Ross.

Open Mike Eagle is a highly-productive and prolific LA based Hip-Hop artist, TV producer, podcaster and comedian. Last year, the second season of his What Had Happened Was podcast followed an industrious 2020 where he released his album Anime, Trauma and Divorce, launched his own podcast network, Stony Island Audio, and also launched his own fully independent label, AutoReverse Records, among so many other things. Now, Open Mike Eagle, AKA ‘OME’, has officially announced the release date of the third season of What Had Happened Was via his own Stony Island Audio network with a new trailer.

In the upcoming season of What Had Happened Was, the show profiles one of Hip-Hop’s most important producers and A&Rs, Dante Ross. Not only is he responsible for signing and overseeing the production of classic albums by Hip-Hop pioneers and legends like De La Soul, Queen Latifah, Pete Rock and CL Smooth, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, MF DOOM/KMD, Busta Rhymes/Leaders of the New School, and Del the Funky Homosapien just to name a few, but he’s also produced Everlast’s smash solo debut “Whitey Ford Sings the Blues” and won a Grammy award for his work with Carlos Santana. Beyond an incredible ear for talent, Dante Ross has an electrifying personality with stories about everyone from Run DMC to Diddy to Lyor Cohen.
