— Hip-Hop group, Injury Reserve, have released the official “Outside” music video — the third off their latest project, By The Time I Get To Phoenix.
Following the tragic 2020 passing of group member, Stepa J. Groggs, the former Hip-Hop trio’s momentum understandably hit a snag. Still, with most of By The Time I Get To Phoenix completed before Grogg’s passing the remaining members, rapper Ritchie With a T and producer Parker Corey, took time over the past year to finish it up. Now, following the 2021 release of By The Time I Get To Phoenix (their first official project since their eponymous debut album) Injury Reserve is back with a 9-minute visual for the opening track, “Outside”.
The music video was shot on location in Arcosanti — a community founded by Italian architect Paolo Soleri during the 1970’s in Arizona’s wilderness with intentional focus on sustainability and naturally integrated urbanism. The duo is captured in several different locations in the deserted complex as the abstract nature of the visual itself reflects their experimental essence.
In support of the album’s release, Injury Reserve will perform a hometown show in Phoenix, Arizona next month at The Van Buren in addition to embarking on a European tour. The group will make stops in London, Manchester, Paris, and Berlin amongst other cities before wrapping up in Budapest in November. Tickets are available for purchase at the official Injury Reserve website.
