— Riiiiko delivers his first single of the year, “Get Smoked”, just before the release of his forthcoming EP, Dark Wiiiinter.
Saudi Arabian rapper, Riiiiko, has quite a unique background having dabbled in music as a youngster before taking it more seriously as a student in the United States. However, after getting to work with prominent American artists like Goldlink, Riiiiko took his talents back to his hometown where he linked up with talented producers like Kriracha and B-Element. Now, coming off of his December 2021 single, “The Man”, he’s back with his latest track, “Get Smoked”.
“Get Smoked”, produced by Kriracha, consists of dark 808-heavy production that sets a perfect mood for Riiiiko’s aggressive delivery and dark subject matter. Throughout the song Riiiiko reflects on his own self-described recklessness as he makes references to things like smoking an ‘onion’ and evading the feds.
When sharing some insight behind the making of the track, Riiiiko stated,
“Kriracha started with a track trying to encapsulate the Memphis Hip-Hop sound so he started with the sample then added the hard drums and 808’s. After that I heard the beat and started writing right away. Kriracha sent the stems to B-Element and he helped organize, co-produce and record and mix the whole track.”
“Get Smoked” is the lead single for Riiiiko’s second official project, Dark Wiiiinter, set to arrive on March 17th, 2022.
