— Mac Miller’s Estate and Rostrum Records have released a special edition vinyl, amongst other things, in honor of the 10th anniversary of Macadelic.
It’s officially been 10 years since the late iconic Hip-Hop artist, Mac Miller, released his classic 2012 mixtape, Macadelic. In celebration of the project, Mac Miller’s estate has shared “Macadelic 10” — a commemorative video by Rex Arrow featuring never-before-seen archival footage from the Macadelic era shot by him, Jusyin Boyd, and Ben Fredette.
In addition to the video, a 10th Anniversary Deluxe vinyl release of Macadelic — including an embossed cover, 3-color segment LPs, and an 11×17 poster — will be available, marking the first ever vinyl release of this landmark project. You can purchase the vinyl now at Mac Miller’s official website.
This celebratory release becomes even more meaningful when you remember that Macadelic was such a pivotal release in Mac Miller’s catalog. The mixtape closely followed his debut studio album, Blue Slide Park, and was notably a sonic predecessor to his widely-acclaimed sophomore LP, Watching Movies with the Sound Off. It also features the hit single, “Loud”, which peaked at the 53rd spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Listen to Macadelic, watch “Macadelic 10”, and be sure to grab your vinyl record of the project right here. And, as always, R.I.P Mac Miller.
