— TDE’s Ray Vaughn follows up his April single with his latest drop, “Mannequin”, and an interesting new music video to go along with it.

Arguably Hip-Hop’s most powerful label, Top Dawg Entertainment (A.K.A TDE), has long been known in the rap industry as the home of some of the game’s sharpest musical talents. Today, one of their latest signees, Ray Vaughn, embodies the characteristics that have made the SoCal label a beacon of consistency for nearly two decades. After turning heads last fall with his LA Leakers freestyle, where he spit bars over Snoop’s “Lay Low” beat, it’s clear that what sets Ray apart from the pack is his slick wordplay and gripping authenticity while brutally assaulting any beat he comes across. Now, following April’s “Picking Cherries”, he’s back with his latest high-octane single of 2022, “Mannequin.”

The new song is powered by Ray’s energetic flow and charismatic delivery, as he bodies the synth-heavy production and takes the time to call out the lames, phonies, and nobodies bogarting his shorties’ attention.

In the track’s cinematic video, directed by James Mackel, the Long Beach native and his homies dip out of their warehouse job to discover their entire neighborhood has been overrun by mannequins. After their initial confusion fades, they proceed to capitalize on the situation before Ray Vaughn wakes up from this apparent dream, back at his dead-end job.

Listen to “Mannequin”, watch the music video right here, and stay tuned for more releases from Ray Vaughn in the coming weeks. Until then, be sure to follow Ray Vaughn on Instagram and Twitter to keep up with his latest moves.
