— Mac Miller’s Estate and Rostrum Records have released his fifth mixtape, I Love Life, Thank You on streaming services.
The Estate of the late great Mac Miller and his longtime record label, Rostrum Records, have done a great job of actively keeping his memory alive — whether it be celebrating his life at Pittsburgh’s Blue Slide Park or releasing a 10-year anniversary special edition vinyl of his classic Macadelic mixtape alongside archival footage. Now, they’re back with another gem from the Hip-Hop icon.
I Love Life, Thank You, Mac Miller’s fifth mixtape ahead of his Billboard 200 chart-topping debut album Blue Slide Park, is now available for listening on streaming services. In celebration of the project, Mac Miller’s estate shares a commemorative video by Rex Arrow titled “A Wonderful World” with archival footage from that time shot by him, Justin Boyd and Bill Niels.
I Love Life, Thank You is a pivotal release in Mac’s catalog that employed a unique rollout, a campaign he dubbed “Road 2 a Million Fans.” With every 100,000 new followers on Twitter, he released a single from the project, eventually culminating in the release of the full tape for free on Datpiff after surpassing the 1 million follower milestone.
I Love Life, Thank You features the singles “People Under The Stairs,” “Love Lost,” “Family First,” and more with guest features and production from Bun B, Clams Casino, Cardo, Sir Michael Rocks, Talib Kweli and 9th Wonder, among others.
