— Producer and DJ Sol Messiah released his debut Hip-Hop album GOD CMPLX last Friday, but not before throwing a killer release party.

The stage was set at one of Atlanta’s best concert venues, Aisle 5, located in the historic Little 5 Points neighborhood where Sol Messiah and crew performed just months ago. However, this time around, the crew was much deeper and the crowd was quite a bit thicker.

With some of Atlanta’s most underrated, yet respected, figures in the crowd — from underground artists to community leaders — Sol Messiah curated an authentically unique vibe that will be remembered for quite some time.

First to hit the stage was renowned Bronx-raised wordsmith, Mickey Factz. As the leadoff performer, Mickey did his job and then some as he hyped up the crowd with a series of freestyles and bangers including his featured track on Sol Messiah’s GOD CMPLX, “Mickey Messiah.”

Next up was an artist who last performed at Aisle 5 this past March — master lyricist, Cambatta. Just as he did a few months ago, while showcasing his lyrical eccentricity and precision, Cambatta both reinforced his greatness to those in the know and while winning over new listeners with his incredible live performance.

Following Cambatta was homegrown Hip-Hop artist Backwud Marc from the well-established Decatur duo Da Backwudz. After serving up some hits and electrifying the crowd even further, he was followed by the night’s headlining performer, Sa-Roc.

As the always graceful Sa-Roc walked onto the stage, the entire building was certain about what we were about to witnesspure excellence. Lucky for us, we were in for a treat as Sol Messiah pushed Sa-Roc to her limits by queuing up some of her toughest verses back-to-back making her delivery that much more dynamic. Even as she began to perform slower songs, Sa-Roc pushing through her own exhaustion consequently infused her set with the feelings of passion, struggle, triumph, and authenticity that are so prevalent in her subject matter ultimately resulting in an elevated performance.

GOD CMPLX is out now on all major streaming platforms. Be sure to check out the full album along with recap photos and footage right here. Also be sure to follow Sol Messiah on Instagram and Twitter to see what he’s working on next.
