— Indie Hip-Hop legends, Atmosphere, have released their latest single, “Sculpting with Fire” just before starting their most recent tour run Party Over Here.

Just after wrapping up an amazing and expansive tour alongside Iration, Atmosphere have now unveiled a new single entitled “Sculpting With Fire” via Rhymesayers Entertainment. It marks the duo’s first release since the acclaimed 2021 album, Word?

This time around, the group break dimensional boundaries, layering pensive, poetic, and ponderous wordplay above psychedelic architecture. Producer Ant sets airy sonic flourishes against a backdrop of live instrumentation courtesy of G Koop on guitar, bass, and percussion and Graham Richards on piano, organ, and synth. It instantly transfixes as Slug’s bars cut deep. Getting existential, he thinks aloud, “This could be the last song that I ever wrote. Only Heaven knows I’m like whatever though. Everybody’s gotta travel across it. When I go, I hope I go from supernatural causes.

The new single also hints at the dawn of another musical era for Atmosphere. Last year’s Word? notably bowed at #4 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart in addition to cracking the Top 30 of the Top 200. Thus far, the record has gathered over 6 million Spotify streams and counting.

On the heels of their recent co-headlined Sunshine & Summer Nights Tour with Iration and a SOLD-OUT show at the world-famous Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado, Slug and Ant of Atmosphere head right back on the road now for their Party Over Here Tour. The 10-city jaunt kicked off this past weekend in Sacramento at The Ace of Spades and will roll through the west coast for shows in Los Angeles and Oakland, finishing up in Salt Lake City at The Complex on October 21. Support comes from dynamic Hip-Hop duo Blimes & Gab and DJ and producer, Plain Ole Bill
