— Ab-Soul continues his latest run with his new single, “Do Better,” and a new visual as he announces that he has a new album on the way. As per usual, Top Dawg Entertainment veteran Ab-Soul has been relatively quiet aside from the release of his April 2022 single, “Hollandaise,” and the more recent “Moonshotter.” Now, the Carson, CA native is ready to ramp things up as he drops “Do Better” the first single off his upcoming album. “Do Better” ft. Zacari, produced by DJ Dahi, Kurtis Mckenzie, and Nick Hakimemulates the emotion of Soul’s dark chapter through an artistic visual reinterpretation of real-life events. The incredibly raw video directed by Omar Jones shares the story of Soul’s enlightenment and transformation When discussing his mental state at the end of the music video, Ab-Soul states,
“I’ve cried enough about it, so I’m choosing to laugh now, cause I’m here, I’m standing tall and I’m grateful, so that’s how I’m choosing, I’m doing the work, the 6 year wait is almost over”
