— Rapper Monaleo shares her latest single, “Body Bag,” and a music video just as she joins Flo Milli on her Girls Just Wanna Have Fun tour.
This has been a big week for Houston-born rising star Monaleo as she helped to kick-off Flo Milli’s Girls Just Wanna Have Fun tour and shared her brand new single, “Body Bag”.
Serving as a message to any perceived competition, the video takes place at “Monaleo’s Meat Market” where she sends a merciless warning and forecasts her staying power as she raps “it’s a marathon, not a race.”
Earlier this year Monaleo and Flo Milli teamed up for the “We Not Humping” remix which amassed over 25M streams and went viral charting #1 on TikTok Trending for three weeks. The track garnered praise from The Fader, Uproxx, Okayplayer, NME, and more and led to a genuine relationship between the two which sparked the 17-date North American tour that Monaleo is opening up on.
Prior to that, Monaleo performed at Rolling Loud NY and shared “Suck it Up” and her viral break-up anthem “Beating Down Yo Block” — the latter of which racked up over 20M views, 50M streams worldwide, propelled her to 1M+ Spotify monthly listeners, and madeSong of the Summer on Pitchfork.
Her fresh talent also caught the eye of fellow Houston native, Beyoncé, who cast her in the Summer 2021 Ivy Park campaign. She has also forged a partnership with Cash App Studios and was recently named a member of Youtube Music’s Foundry Class of 2021.
