— South Holland, IL native Kembe X releases his latest single, “More Than Never,” in preparation of his upcoming FLATFOOTED EP.
Just 2 weeks ago, rapper Kembe X announced that FLATFOOTED, his next EP, would be released this December. Alongside that announcement, he shared the project’s first single, “Always Loud.” Now, he’s returned with his second single off the project, “More Than Never.”
Produced by Joey Hamhock, “More Than Never” is built on a deep, yet tranquil, bass groove coupled with a blissfully serene flute melody. Kembe matched the tone of the production flawlessly as he turned the song into an introspective stream of consciousness rapping bars like,
“The least of my fears is not my ‘weaknesses-es’
The greatest of my strengths is not control over my appetite
Some nutrients had missed my mouth and leaked on the bib
Surely not the first newborn to leap from the crib”
