— Top Dawg Entertainment’s Ab-Soul shares his latest single, “Gang’Nem” as he prepares to release his forthcoming album, Herbert.

Los Angeles by way of Carson, CA artist Herbert Anthony Stevens IV, aka Ab-Soul, has announced a new album, Herbert out December 16th via Top Dawg Entertainment.

Herbert is a deliberately intimate portrait of the man behind Ab-Soul going back to his foundation — as noted by the name of the recordleaving the conspiracy theories he’s known for behind while emphasizing his musicality. After suffering through a series of unspeakable tragedies, Stevens completed the album as a changed man with a new sense of purpose.

Gang’Nem, produced by Sounwave, follows similar themes outlined in the first single, “Do Better,” where Stevens addressed the changes through an incredibly moving video based on real events

In the new single and in the video, Ab-Soul pays homage to his roots in Carson, CA, detailing where he’s from and the lifestyle he grew up around. Accompanied by a feature from Fre$h, Soul details the realities of Los Angeles street culture.
