— Portland rapper Wynne releases “Jaw Morant” — the lead single from her upcoming EP, Some Like It Hot.
Following her January single, “CATALYST II,” Wynne releases her highly anticipated song, “Jaw Morant,” which serves as the lead single off her upcoming EP, Some Like It Hot. After releasing almost a dozen songs in 2022, the Portland MC has clearly found her voice, and her confidence, on this new club banger. Wynne’s sultry yet assertive vocals float over a driving instrumental, as she confidently delivers caption-ready lyrics (mirror on the wall, who’s the baddest of them all?) about the attention she receives from men, her love for money, and her independence.
The beat, produced by Toronto- based Felix Leone (Baby Keem, Travis Scott) features a catchy melody with heavy 808s and drums that make you feel like you’re at the club. The song is a perfect soundtrack for women who want to go out, dance, and have fun while feeling great about themselves.
“I wanted to create a song that felt like a night out at the club with my girls, and that’s what Jaw Morant is: the epitome of owning my confidence as a woman.” — Wynne
The music video, shot by Riley Brown and directed by Wynne’s new 101 label/agency, was quite captivating to say the least. Following no particular storyline, Wynne fiercely recites her bars while appearing in a series of wacky, creative, and even provocative scenes alongside members of her faithful team as they simply have a blast.
