Leading independent record label EMPIRE will salute 50 years of hip hop on October 15, 2023 with a concert in San Francisco – the city where the company was founded. The Bay Area centric event aims to uplift and honor every aspect of Bay Area hip hop culture and will be hosted by legendary rapper/producer Too $hort and longtime radio personalities Sway Calloway and Chuy Gomez.

General on sale for the tickets started on Friday, September 22nd, at 12 pm local time, with early bird prices lasting until October 9th. You can get your tickets here.

EMPIRE will celebrate a day of hip hop with over 1,000 enthusiasts and lovers of the genre and will incorporate some of the best Bay Area DJs including Steady, Cream of Beat, Big Von, and Scotty Fox. There will also be a number of MCs with a surprise guest hip hop cypher, breakdancers, beatboxers, graffiti artists, plus local streetwear and food/beverage vendors.

The hip hop 50 concert announcement comes during a successful year for EMPIRE as CEO and Founder Ghazi was named to Variety Magazine’s Top 50 Hip Hop Executives of All Time and Billboard’s Power 100, Indie Power Player, and Hip Hop/R&B Power Player lists.
