— Signed to A$AP Ferg’s Sewer Sounds, Antha Pantha prepares to rise to the top of the NYC rap scene with raw bars and outrageous charisma in upcoming album Feline Season.
Blessed with the charisma of a big cat and a rhyming talent fostered in the vibrant Harlem scene, Antha Pantha is up next in NYC. Today, the up-and-coming rapper announces Feline Season, her upcoming debut album for Sewer Sounds, the label founded by A$AP Ferg. A soulful and uber-confident collection of songs, Feline Season is an ambitious introduction to the rapper’s world, combining relentless rap tracks with explicit R&B romps and in-your-face fever dreams. The album introduces the world to Antha’s alter ego, Sexual Vanilla, a blaxploitation-esque throwback character that allows Antha to flex her vocal chops and indulge in her wildest fantasies. Home to singles like “Real B*tches” and the buzzing local hit “Brick By Brick” feat. Huntdawgg, Feline Season arrives on December 1st via Sewer Sounds/ADA.
Along with the album announcement, the “Scrilla Hill” diva shares “Yayo,” a new banger that thrives on her brash theatricality. Produced by Tweek Tune (Quavo, Lil Tjay) and Dylan Skyler (MadeinTYO), “Yayo” mixes gated drums with sirenic synths and insistent horn blasts, creating an imperial atmosphere for Antha to project her personality. Peppering her rock solid flow with wild ad-libs — including her signature feline growl — a designer-clad Antha walks into the club and demands attention, before breaking out into a sexually-frank chorus.
Obsessed with music, theater, and dance since she was a child, Antha Pantha made waves in Harlem with her outsized personality and undeniable talent. Her magnetic qualities attracted the attention of A$AP Ferg, a childhood friend of hers, who signed Antha to his emerging Sewer Sounds label. Antha first earned mainstream attention in 2019 when she appeared on two songs from Ferg’s Floor Seats EP, most notably on the hit single “Wigs,” which also featured City Girls. In 2020, Antha went toe-to-toe with Ferg once again on the Hit-Boy-produced “Mask.” Last year, Antha made an impact with her first two singles, “Real B*tches” and “B.W.A.,” earning coverage in Vice, Consequence, HotNewHipHop, Audiomack, and more. Antha Pantha is also an in-demand songwriter, with a publishing deal at Roc Nation and writing credits on songs by artists like Ebony Riley and more.
With Feline Season on the way, Antha Pantha announces herself as a prodigious talent that deserves attention. Stay tuned for much more, including her debut project, in the coming months.
