— Atlanta rapper Booney and Brooklyn-based producer NDK prepare to release their new single, “Game of Pawns” this Friday, February 2nd.
Coming fresh off the release of his acclaimed 2023 EP, Cheap Liquor, Southside Atlanta’s Booney is back to deliver more heat with the help of multitalented instrumentalist and producer NDK.
First hinting at the new single while sharing photos and behind-the-scenes moments from his latest photoshoot with Atlanta photographer, Shyni Lee, Booney released the official cover art, designed by Simo Haier Visuals, just days later.

When speaking about the upcoming single, Booney says,
“Powerful people are taking the place of pawns, being like the majority instead of pushing to be an individual. Difference and originality is what makes us special. That’s our superpower.”
With Booney’s Cheap Liquor EP receiving a plethora of positive reviews — even making our own list of 2023’s Top Hip-Hop EPs — it’s exciting to see what he has in store for the new year.
