— As he prepares to release his next project, rapper CashOnAble joins The Heist and delivers a hard-hitting performance of an unreleased track.
Evidently in album mode, made clear by some of the latest episodes of his ‘There’s More to Life’ vlog series on Instagram, Atlanta’s CashOnAble is ready to release some of his most potent music to date — which says a lot judging by his incredible past works. However, in the meantime, CashOnAble has decided to ‘keep his sword sharp’ with an appearance on new performance platform The Heist, created by Data Heist.
From a scenic Atlanta rooftop with a mic in hand, the proven wordsmith emphatically recites a formidable verse over unnervingly eerie production supported by grimy boom bap drums, a bone-chilling synth melody reminiscent of classic g-funk records, as well as some warped background sonic elements to further accentuate the ominous mood.
Getting deep and explicit about his humble beginnings, CashOnAble paints an absurdly vivid image of the environment he grew up in while describing what it takes to make it out. He elaborates on the violence, oppression, trafficking, desperation, and overall despair that overwhelms many of us in these neighborhoods with no real escape in sight. Yet still, we cope, we fight, and we keep pushing for a better way even if our only solace is enjoying a 40 at the end of a long day.
Although the video clocks in at just under 90 seconds, this was an awe-inspiring showing from CashOnAble to say the least, leaving viewers thirsting for more. Lucky for us, the album is on the way.
