— Rapper Grip links up with fellow ATL native, producer Wili Hendricks, to deliver “Spatula”, his first offering since his “I Died for This!?” album”.

East Atlanta’s own GRIP continues his meteoric rise with yet another banger following his 17-track masterpiece “I Died For This?!”. Since releasing his debut under Eminem’s storied Shady Records, GRIP has kept his foot firmly on the gas even making an appearance on the BET Hip Hop Awards cypher in early October. Now, with the help of East Chain producer, Wili Hendrix, GRIP puts the world on notice yet again with “SPATULA”.

“SPATULA” starts off with a daunting piano sequence perfectly complemented by the vague, but universally understood, declaration from GRIP, “I told these niggas”. Without wasting another second, he proceeds to milk the beat of everything it’s got with his signature rapid-fire flow, incredibly witty wordplay, and stimulating subject matter.

Furthermore, while the verses and production were enough to make “SPATULA” an immediate hit, it must be said that the clever hook made this track that much more infectious.
