17 year old phenom, redveil, continues to impress as his stock continues to rise with the release of each new record, music video, or major announcement. In fact, the rising star announced last month that he’ll soon be touring with Denzel Curry and Freddie Gibbs after releasing his introspective new single, “diving board”, and a new music video. Now, redveil punches the gas even harder with the release of his latest single, “better”, and his follow-up album announcement.
Singer-songwriter Sam Truth kicks off the record with an expressive verse — courtesy of his emotive and heartfelt vocals. Later, redveil comes through with a series of equally expressive verses, instead using his thoughtful lyrics and authentic delivery to get his point across.
The new single, “better”, arrives alongside an intimate kaleidoscopic visual directed by Manny Madrigal. The music video illustrates the song’s message of appreciating your biggest supporters during your toughest moments whether it be a person or place.
Based on redveil’s recent announcement, his new album, learn 2 swim, will be available on April 20th. Set to release on redveils’ 18th birthday, learn 2 swim is a coming-of-age album in every sense. The entirely self-produced project reflects on confronting adulthood head-on from a young man grappling with those newfound challenges and responsibilities in real time.
Made evident by the lead single, “diving board”, the forthcoming album will showcase redveil’s prodigious musical wisdom as he emerges with an unrelenting project that displays the full range of his talents from production, to lyricism and songwriting, and exposing his own internal battles along with moments of relief and appreciation.
Starting this month on April 27th, redveil will be joining Freddie Gibbs, Zack Fox, and MIKE for a stretch of shows on Gibbs’ Space Rabbit Tour before joining Denzel Curry on his MELT MY EYEZ, SEE YOUR FUTURE Tour this summer. You can grab your tickets here.
