— Juicy J stars as James Harden in his exciting new music video for his latest single, “Step Back”, featuring fellow Memphis native, Duke Deuce.
Juicy J is nothing short of a legend, and still, he continues to show and prove that he’s got plenty more to give. Now, following his February 2022 collab project with business partner and longtime friend Wiz Khalifa, the decorated veteran recruits a young hometown star for his new record, “Step Back”.
With production credits from Lil Ju and Juicy J himself, “Step Back” hits exactly the way we’re used to a Juicy J track hitting. Equipped with everything from trunk-shaking 808’s to a haunting piano melody reminiscent of a classic horror film, the production perfectly fit the rappers’ flows, delivery, and subject matter resulting in an instant banger.
The music video, directed by Video God, takes place on a beautifully-lit strip club-themed basketball court as the Memphis legend performs and acts as James Harden — shooting step back 3’s amongst a group of gorgeous women. Duke Deuce later comes through and dances on the track figuratively and literally with an electrifying performance, all while rocking a Ja Morant jersey as the Grizzlies wreak havoc through the NBA playoffs.
