After months of speculation, fast-rising Lakeland, FL artist Big Kuza has released his Boom.Records debut album Heavyweight. The album follows three 2022 singles — “C.F.T.B.”, “Hear This Shit”, and “BaeKation”, and is the result of years of evolution, experience, and progress punctuated by collaborations and his previous two projects, Hurricane Season and 91.
Heavyweight spans 16 tracks and runs through the full spectrum of human emotion with Kuza’s punchline heavy raps more refined than ever. Equipped with both confidence and vulnerability, Big Kuza touches on the issues he’s faced throughout his life and career, including the love, loss, and wins, while also delivering a project with an overarching theme of perseverance and overcoming life’s obstacles.
The album also features previously released 2021 singles “Talk About It,” “Toxic,” and “For Granted”, which have accumulated millions of streams across all streaming platforms.
When further expanding on the album, Big Kuza has stated,
