— One of New York’s brightest MCs, Joey Bada$$, has announced the official release date of his forthcoming album alongside a new single and music video.
Fans of Joey Bada$$ have been foaming at the mouth as they’ve waited for his highly-anticipated sequel to his classic debut project, 1999. Well, we can finally take a deep breath now that he has announced its official release date.
The forthcoming album, titled 2000, is now slated to be released on July 22nd via Pro Era/Columbia Records after being pushed back due to sample clearance issues. Alongside the reveal, he shares a brand new single and video titled “Where I Belong,” taken from the full project which will arrive nearly 10 years to the date after his classic mixtape, 1999. In lieu of sharing the new track, Joey’s 1999 2000 summer North American tour launched on the day of its release.
