— West Coast native ALLBLACK connects with New Orleans giant Curren$y for his new single, “Pelicans,” and its cinematic new music video.
Hailing from East Oakland, ALLBLACK has cemented himself as one of the best rappers out of the Bay Area. Today he shares “Pelicans,” his single with Curren$y, and a music video to accompany it. This marks his first release of the year and sets the tone for what’s to come.
Before this, he shared “Burpees” featuring labelmate Dusty Locaine which couples ALLBLACK’s lyrical chops coupled with Locaine’s high energy.
ALLBLACK, born D’Andre Sams, released early projects that landed him on many Artist to Watch lists. He then shared his debut album TY4FWM in 2021 and has accumulated career praise from the likes of Pitchfork, Hypebeast, Complex, The Ringer, Fader, Stereogum, Highsnobiety, and XXL to name a few. The critically acclaimed rap staple also has performed Jimmy Kimmel Live! with G-Eazy, toured with Jack Harlow and Mozzy, and collaborated with Shoreline Mafia, YG, Drakeo the Ruler, Blueface, and many more. He’s quickly proved to critics and fans alike that he’s the new voice of the Bay Area rap scene and has been coming into his own in a very unique way.
