— Pink Siifu and Ahwlee come together yet again as B. Cool-Aid and deliver a new single, “Wassup,” and  music video in preparation of their forthcoming album.

Pink Siifu and producer Ahwlee, the enigmatic hip-hop/neo-soul duo B. Cool-Aid, share “Wassup,” the second offering from their forthcoming third album Leather Blvd., out March 31st via Lex Records. “Wassup” is a syrupy slow jam layered with vocals from Siifu, Devin Morrison, Pher Turner and MoRuf, and offers another look inside the colorful sonic neighborhood that makes up Leather Blvd..

Accompanying the track are the playful and meta visuals directed by Noah Porter and Matt Zolly depicting B. Cool-Aid and a group of album contributors and friends shooting a music video with Siifu behind the camera while his hair is braided, friends dancing in front of the green screen, and Ho99o9 acting as bouncers. Additionally, B. Cool-Aid launches their B. Cool-Aid Valentine’s Hotline, a dial-in campaign to celebrate Valentine’s Day and Leather Blvd. Fans can call in to 914-2WASSUP (914-292-7787) and select from various number prompts to hear a snippet of “Wassup,” navigate their way through the various businesses that make up the world of Leather Blvd., and leave a message for their Valentine.

Leather Blvd. will include the previously shared single “Cnt Go Back ( Tell Me )” featuring V.C.R.. Jimetta Rose, Liv.e, Butcher Brown, and Maurice II, and remains true to the Siifu and Ahwlee’s signature B. Cool-Aid style with mellow instrumentals and Siifu’s enigmatically smooth vocals that blend jazz, soul and hip-hop elements, while continually evolving musically. The new album manifests itself as a stroll down a loud, familiar street and the voices you hear, invoking both legendary and youthful guest appearances that are central to the larger B. Cool-Aid community. Recently, the duo joined The FADER podcast to discuss the new album and the their collaborative partnership further.

The duo’s new album follows last year’s double single titled bonded, which consisted of “COO,” co-produced by Kiefer, and “usedtoo,” featuring Jay Feeniks in addition to a video for both songs co-directed by Jacob Nadir Gray and Siifu himself. The couple of tracks marked the first official releases from B. Cool-Aid in over 3 years following their last full-length project Syrup in 2019, which Bandcamp says “offers relief as much as it inspires deep thinking.” The duo have also maintained their long-running monthly NTS Radio residency with their show BRWN which explores “hip hop’s varied and far-reaching experimental corners.”

Check out “Wassup” above and stay tuned for more from B. Cool-Aid coming soon.
