— JAHMED is back in full effect with the release of his latest single, “WIPE”, as well as a new music video ahead of his upcoming ARMANI EP.
West Coast rapper, JAHMED, is coming for the Rookie of the Year title in 2021. Although he released his debut album, THEBOOFMOBILE, in March 2020, the global pandemic put a bit of a damper on his ability to gain significant traction. Nonetheless, the rising star made big enough moves in 2020 (such as collaborating with Grammy-Nominated rapper Freddie Gibbs) to prove that he’s a sure bet in 2021. Need more proof? Look no further than his most recent single, “WIPE”.
“WIPE”, co-produced by Ben10k and Dane’s Blood, features a distinctive bounce influenced by California’s Bay area according to JAHMED himself. On the other hand, “WIPE” was laced with a slightly ominous melody creating the signature dark undertone JAHMED is known to like in his production.
In “WIPE”, JAHMED takes some time to boast about his newfound success and continued rise to the top while reminding his competitors that their time is up.
The visual, directed by Polygon, is engaging to say the very least. Riddled with humor and captivating shots, this music video did its job and then some.
