— Atlanta native, TruthTheBull, has released “Shine”, his first official single since 2020’s “B.I.G.”
For those who aren’t familiar, TruthTheBull is an up-and-coming talent based in Atlanta, GA whose gifts need not be boxed into any particular genre. While I would generally call him a rapper, TruthTheBull possesses uniquely eccentric traits in regards to his music, visuals, and overall style that could lend itself to a number of genres. For a sample of such work, look no further than his latest single, “Shine”.
“Shine”, produced by accomplished young producer Lock, starts off with a haunting mood led by a chilling bassline and a creeping flute melody. Shortly after, TruthTheBull opens up with a catchy and melodic hook while somber piano chords and snapping drums are slowly added in the background. He then proceeds to deploy his impeccable rapid-fire flow as well as his noteworthy lyricism to deliver boastful bars about how he continues to “shine” despite his humble beginnings.
As I mentioned before, TruthTheBull is steady on the rise and he’s not slowing down anytime soon. Although his output isn’t as frequent as many other artists today, he never fails in delivering high quality content that you can’t find anywhere else. That alone goes a long way and allows him to stand apart from many of his peers.
