— Chicago native, Jesse 5K, steps onto the scene in grand fashion with the release of his phenomenal debut project, A.B.E Vol. 1.
While fairly new to the music industry, Hip-Hop artist Jesse 5K isn’t playing any games when it comes to his craft. The gifted Midwest-bred newcomer has been delivering music with such quality that you’d think he was a seasoned vet. Now, following his well-received 2020 single, “Grey Skies”, along with the more recent, “Werkin and Swervin”, Jesse 5K has released his first official project, A.B.E Vol. 1.
A.B.E Vol. 1 (short for ‘Another Black Experience’) is a concise, 6-track, 17-minute EP that will undoubtedly leave you thirsting for more. Starting with an inspiring skit in the form of a PSA from his grandmother, Jesse 5K failed to disappoint at any point throughout. Rapping and crooning over mellow yet dynamic production, Jesse 5K attacked every beat with unmatched energy, an impressive set of flows, remarkable worldplay, and deeply purposeful lyrics.
Aside from the lead singles, some of the more notable tracks include “Cater 2my Days”, “Easy Mind”, and “Diggin Time” with the latter 2 featuring fellow artist and Chicago native, singer/songwriter Adia Dew.
References to classics such as Timbaland and Magoos’ “Luv 2 Luv U” and Outkast’s “Chonkyfire” also illustrate Jesse 5K’s genuine appreciation for Hip-Hop culture — a likely catalyst for his incredible talent and attention to detail.
