— Atlanta rapper, Leano, comes through with his first 2021 single, “Stop It”, featuring fellow Atlanta native, Lapone.
For those of you first hearing about Leano, you’re in for a treat. The Atlanta-bred rap artist shows a ton of promise as one of the more authentic and creative talents on the underground scene. Influenced by Atlanta Trap legends like Gucci Mane, T.I., and Jeezy, Leano’s sound is unique in that it can be both nostalgic and innovative as he adds his own signature flavor to the mix. Now, with three dope projects (Leano Iverson, Goat Tape, and Leano with the Jab) already under his belt, as well as a flurry of hard-hitting singles, Leano is back with his first official release of 2021.
“Stop It”, produced by Bryce Thomas starts off with an enticing xylophone melody reminiscent of that of the original Rugrats theme song. Just moments later, a dynamic bass and snare drum cadence along with a catchy hook from Leano all come together to create a complete and balanced banger.
Leano and Lapone both showed out as they danced all over the undeniably hypnotic production. The rappers each attacked the beat in their own unique ways but both got a similar message across — “stop all that hating” and get to some money.
