— New Souf Records artist, Mike Dyl, celebrates his birthday with the release of his latest single, “Just Cope”, along with a new music video.

Newnan, GA native Mike Dyl continues to impress as one of the more talented artists in Atlanta’s competitive indie Hip-Hop scene. While his unique sound, eye-catching style, and stellar visuals put him in a class of his own, his apparent work ethic may just be his greatest trait — never wavering in his presentation or delivery. Now, coming off the heels of his summer single, “Gamblin”, rapper Mike Dyl is back with another single titled, “Just Cope”, as well as a music video.

“Just Cope” is a record that so many of us can relate to. Not only is the track an instant banger, but Mike Dyl gets painfully real when you listen to his lyrics. To set the tone, he opens the song with a well-written hook which says,

“I say we roll out the P and we smoke.

Drop no tear, too solid, just cope.

Got a lot of trauma, can you feel my soul?

Took the long road, couldn’t sell my soul.

Pass me the rock, I promise I’ll score.

I need me a church ‘cause I’m preaching like a Pope.

Never been about me, I do it for my folks.

Fill up the pot and break bread with the bros.”

He goes on to express the weight that’s on his shoulders while also being sure to mention his willingness to carry it. Whether it’s his own responsibilities and obstacles or those of his loved ones, Mike Dyl is primed and ready to take on whatever comes his way in pursuit of his ultimate goals.

The music video, directed by Mea Hill, was brilliantly shot subtly evoking all of the emotions that Mike Dyl conveyed. Scenes where Mike is casually getting his hair braided, wearing his high school basketball jersey, and hanging around with close friends gives the visual an authentic down-to-earth feeling that shows that he is still grounded in his roots. On the other hand, the vast studio and dressing room setting give the visual an aspirational vibe culminating in Mike Dyl stepping outside to figuratively conquer his next move.
