— Rapper and producer, Wan Geez, shows off his production skills with the release of his first official beat tape titled, Carport.
Following the March 2021 release of his third official project, GTA, Atlanta-based artist, Wan Geez, decided to sharpen some of the tools in his toolbox. Already a gifted rapper and having first started producing at age 13, Wan Geez went back to his roots by recapturing his skills in music production, even sharing some videos of his process dating back to August 13th. Now, the prolific lyricist has delivered his very first instrumental project titled, Carport.
Carport consists of 7 sample-heavy tracks that will have your favorite Hip-Hop wordsmith salivating. Beyond picking great samples and looping them just right, Wan Geez was able to showcase his detailed understanding of an assortment of sonic elements along with his immaculate sense for timing. The use of everything from drum rolls, rimshots, and hi-hats to vocal samples, muted instruments, and chilling melodies made Carport a worthwhile listen to say the least.
Furthermore, Wan Geez did us a solid by gifting us with some incredible verses on the last two songs on the tape, “Outside” and “Higher”. Wan Geez deploying his top-tier lyrical skills along with his equally masterful songwriting ability, over his own brilliant production, make these tracks that much more special.
Having built such great momentum in 2021, it’s safe to assume that Wan Geez has more dope content on the way. In fact, he’ll be featured on our own freestyle series, More Bars Please!, on Sunday, September 26th at 12pm.
Be sure to check out the full Carport project and tune in to episode 33 of More Bars Please!, featuring Wan Geez. Also, be sure to stay up to date with Geez’s latest moves at his official Instagram and Twitter accounts.
