— Tallahassee-bred artist Quintin Tarintinto pays homage to his hometown and humble beginnings in his latest single, “We Up, We Out”.
Quintin Tarintinto, leader of the UnderClass XLX music label, has had a strong 2021 and appears to be on an upward trajectory to say the least. Following the release of his April 2021 single, “Smoke Break”, along with accompanying visuals, the Florida-native turned around and delivered a brilliant EP titled, DARE, the very next month. Now, as the fourth quarter begins, Quintin is back with a brand new single, “We Up, We Out”.
In “We Up, We Out”, Quintin Tarintinto briefly takes his listeners back to his roots while also relating his past to his successful present and expectedly dominant future. Even before pressing play, Quintin conveys this message clearly with the cover artwork — an image of his Tallahassee, Florida alma mater, Leon High School.
Over luxurious and ethereal production Tarintinto speaks on his love for his hometown, early sacrifices by himself and loved ones, and his ability to produce “even when we in a drought”. Now, although still on the rise, Quintin Tarintinto continues to be driven by his early inspirations and desires as he continues to perfect his craft and elevate his life altogether.
The music video, shot by Tyree Ward, flawlessly depicted everything Quintin Tarintinto rapped about. The beautifully shot visual took place right in Tarintinto’s stomping grounds and was sure to showcase some of the city’s historic fixtures along with some lesser known areas and people that mean everything to him.
