— Southern California native, JAHMED, releases the Ruby Red-assisted music video for his latest single, “TUESDAY”.
JAHMED is an artist on the rise if we’ve ever seen one and he doesn’t seem to be letting up on the throttle any time soon. After hitting the scene hard with his 2020 EP, THEBOOFMOBILE, the budding artist followed up with another critically acclaimed project in March 2021 titled, ARMANI. He’s since returned with an apparent interest in taking things to the next level having dropped three singles (“BODYBAG”, “KARACHI”, AND “TUESDAY”) within the past three months. Now, JAHMED has officially released a new music video for his most recent single, “TUESDAY”.
“TUESDAY” features singer Ruby Red who is also credited with producing the track. It opens with a distinctive and unmistakable melody coupled with a rhythmic hi-hat and snare pattern before introducing the booming bass that would complete the production. JAHMED then comes through with an undeniably catchy chorus before delivering an equally catchy verse using his uniquely rapid, yet bouncy, cadence.
Despite its fun and jovial tone, “TUESDAY” features a few elements that can be a bit scary, or even downright dangerous. While on one hand waking up next to a new potential partner can be a great feeling, feelings of uneasiness may soon follow if she lives in a ‘less than desirable’ neighborhood that you’re unfamiliar with.
The music video, directed by Alexander Zeke Musca of Cowboy Humor Productions, was a complete masterpiece from top to bottom. The song’s concept was well-executed, the visuals were beautifully shot, the set design was clever and creative, and the edits did a great job of both keeping viewers engaged and making the transitions fluid.
