— Toronto artist Tim North has released his debut EP, Early Wishes, along with a new music video for “My Way” featuring Sammy Adams.
Back in March, Tim North released his heartfelt single, “Feel Real”, with help from fellow Canadians JRDN and Quake Matthews. The rich, ominous vibe of the track channels Toronto’s dark signature sound, while still maintaining an aspirational element. Now, just a few months later, Tim is ready to cement his status as a rising star in Toronto and beyond with his debut EP, Early Wishes.
Arriving alongside the EP is the official music video for the previously released track “My Way” featuring Sammy Adams. The visual, directed by Devan Marz and shot in Brooklyn, follows North and Adams as they exchange bars and stake their claim.
Known for weaving in and out of R&B and Hip-Hop, North enlists renowned rapper Rittz for Early Wishes to feature on the collaborative single, “On A Roll”. Delivering a paced yet speedy couplet of bars, Tim North and Rittz reminisce on past distresses and hardships while persevering through life via the lens of two hustling emcees.
Speaking on the project, Tim North shares,
“This is my debut project; it’s been a long time coming. I produced, mixed/mastered, and even directed some videos for Early Wishes, but I made this for Toronto and my fans. I appreciate Rittz, Chris Stylez, and everyone I had the pleasure of collaborating with. I truly enjoyed making this for you all to enjoy, and I hope you love it as much as I do.”
