Repping California’s Inland Empire, the multi-talented AUNDREY GUILLAUME. has a highly developed musical ear which likely began forming during his early years playing the drums in church. Since then, the Secretly Canadian signee has only gotten sharper, more experimental, and more confident as we can see from his latest project, Energy.
In the triumphant follow-up to Violet, his first EP, Energy finds AUNDREY in a place of cautionary optimism. From introspective tracks like the previously released “Refund” to the hard-hitting bass lines featured on “Combo”, GUILLAUME.’s compelling authenticity throughout the project is beyond noteworthy.
Speaking on the EP, GUILLAUME. has stated,
“After completing my first EP Violet, the mood is more celebratory, but still cautious of the trappings this newfound attention gets me. ENERGY is about taking that feeling and thriving in it.”
