— West Coast rapper ICECOLDBISHOP shares a new music video for “D.A.R.E” as he releases his official debut album, GENERATIONAL CURSE.
Making a major statement, rising Los Angeles rapper ICECOLDBISHOP officially releases his long-awaited major label debut album GENERATIONAL CURSE, out now via Epic Records. Giving fans a quick glimpse into his world and paving the way for this bold body of work, he recently shared a visual trailer for the album examining both the gun and drug epidemic from a different perspective, aiming its crosshairs at the politicians and pharmaceutical framework failing communities across the country. Through his razor-sharp, enigmatic flow, he proclaims, “Pills and promethazine fucked up my generation.” At the same time, he opens up about the struggle, “been daring to be different, but these drugs are in my way.”
GENERATIONAL CURSE rails against the rigged system with unflinching, determined storytelling and some of the most undeniable rhymes you’ll hear all year. He first teased the record with lead single “THE GOV’T GAVE US GUNS,” piling up half-a-million total streams.
Known for crisp stories of life growing up on the streets of LA and an enigmatic vocal delivery all his own, ICECOLDBISHOP has carved out a lane for himself to become one of the West Coast’s most vital young voices after first emerging with his debut single “Porch.” In the time since, BISHOP has demanded attention with early tracks like “IRATE” which he performed live on COLORS, as well as collaborating with like-minded peers like Boldy James and the Alchemist, Kenny Beats, Rico Nasty and Slowthai, Kembe X, Ab-Soul, AG Club, and Mick Jenkins.
