— Southside Atlanta’s own, Booney, gets a few things off of his chest in his introspective new record, “Window Pain”.

Atlanta rapper, Booney, has had quite the run this year. Kicking things off with his January  2021 single, “1 Hr From Austin”, he continued to deliver pure dope on his following three releases, “Jenga Nights”, “Rain Drops”, and “Milestones”. As if that weren’t enough, he’s returned with yet another single just over one month since his last titled, “Window Pain”.

While Booney always makes it a point to include some depth, introspection, and authenticity to everything he writes, “Window Pain” perfectly exemplifies this signature trait. In what seems to be just as much a therapy session as a song, Booney reflects on his insatiable desire to reach his dreams, the hardships that he continues to face along the way, and his unwillingness to let anyone or anything deter him.

“Window Pain”, produced by frequent collaborator Dashcapism, is made up of somber and moody production that perfectly suits the content. The slow and lazy drum pattern accompanied by a whiny, almost eerie, melody gives off a chilling tone that makes Booney’s lyrics and strategic delivery hit that much harder.
