— Atlanta rapper SoufsideSoul, AKA Soulee drops his first single and visual of 2021 titled, “Boring”, ahead of his upcoming project.
Rapper SoufsideSoul, also known as Soulee, is one of the dopest talents coming out of the southside of Atlanta. Elite lyricism, real and authentic content, as well as captivating visuals are all part of what makes SoufsideSoul special and he’s still very much on the come up. Now, after taking a bit of a hiatus since releasing “Orange Valentine” and “Special Delivery” in early 2020, Soulee is back with a new song and visual titled, “Boring”.
“Boring” starts off in signature Soulee fashion, with a beautifully soulful sample — this time consisting of an elegant piano sequence. This follows with a thumping 808 pattern before Soulee comes in and goes to work. He immediately begins to kick some serious game about life, responsibility, and elevation while using the entrancing production to perfectly complement his tone.
As usual, the music video was simple, yet artistic and engaging. The raw nature of the entire visual, from the grungy locations to the dark moody lighting, allows the viewer to better feel where Soulee is coming from. Additional effects such as the camcorder/VHS and classic film effects further added to this aesthetic, ironically making “Boring” an entertaining watch from start to finish.
