— UK rapper Slowthai announces his 2022 North American tour, ANTISOCIAL ROADSHOW, following the release of his 2021 album, TYRON.
Rising to prominence in 2019 for his gritty and rough instrumentals and raw, politically charged lyrics, Northampton, England-bred rapper Slowthai has been on a steady, but rapid, climb. Just last year, he reached new heights with his critically-acclaimed second album, TYRON, which according to sources within his camp,
“TYRON was formed against the backdrop of an unforgiving climate where judgment, shaming, and underdeveloped conceptions of other people were fashionable. Instead of succumbing to such simplicity, TYRON presents an artist who is unabashedly complicated and willing to explore themes of loneliness, identity, self-acceptance, and the difficulties in becoming an individual.”
Now, following the success of TYRON, Slowthai announces the 2022 dates for his North American tour, ANTISOCIAL ROADSHOW, which he previewed earlier this month by surprising his fans in Los Angeles and New York City with raucous $1 shows.
The 7-date tour begins in New York City on April 8th with stops in Chicago, Vancouver and San Francisco before wrapping up in Boston on April 30th. Slowthai is also set to perform two dates at Coachella while on tour.
General sale tickets go on sale Friday, February 4th at 10am local time on Slowthai’s official website.
