— Soleil kicks off the month of love by asking an important relationship question in her brand new single, “Whose Side?”
For those who aren’t familiar, Soleil is a talented Miami-based singer-songwriter who is steady on the rise. The songstress has performed on countless stages across the country displaying her eclectic musical palette featuring hints of Blues, Hip-Hop, Jazz, R&B, and Soul. Now, as her first official offering of 2021, Soleil has released a dance track titled, “Whose Side”.
While “Whose Side”, co-produced by Soleil and Aston Marton, is anchored by upbeat UK Dance-inspired production, the addition of Soleil’s smooth vocals create a hypnotic blend. The song is so enticing, in fact, you may miss out on its lyrical depth upon the first listen. But, when discussing the meaning of the song Soleil explained,
“‘Whose Side?’ can be understood in many ways – choosing whether to move forward in a relationship to make it work, choosing to embrace all layers and versions of a person, and/or the common self vs. self battle, as we are the only ones who can hold ourselves back.”
With “Whose Side?” being as captivating as it is, it’s safe to say we can be optimistic about what Soleil was coming down the pipeline this year. In fact, we already know that she has new collabs on the way featuring Hip-Hop artist Jay Burna and Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter, Jackie’s Boy. So, it’s only a matter of time before we get to enjoy those as well.
